So this is my confession: I am a Trekkie. I collected the trading card game as a kid and have in the neighborhood of about 2000 Star Trek cards in my parents basement somewhere. I wasn't as bad as my cousin who had the action figures (all of them!!). It was pretty awesome. He had a lifesize tricorder and several phasers. Anyways.. my point. Is the new Star Trek too contempory for most "old school" Trekies? Does its computer graphics appeal to older Trekkies or is Star Trek trying to enlist a new generation under a new, cooler appearence?? Guess I will find out when I go see it.

PPS: Picard is better then Kirk.. thats right, I said it so get over it.
