Born to whine

I found this pic online(thanks whoever credit goes to) and never laughed so hard. Every person I know who is a ducks fan (Im thinking of one big one in particular) is a whiner. Good job BSU. Im not a huge bsu fan but I never was a fan more tonight as they killed the ducks. I cant stand the ducks. They are the one college football team I hate with a passion. There are other teams that im not a fan of but I reserver hate for Oregon. Maybe im a jerk but I posted on the Oregon fans wall on facebook "how bout them ducks" and he replied "how bout your mom". Ouch im so hurt. I then replied "my mom didn't get her A kicked by BSU then deleted the whole thing about ten minutes later. I lived with him in Florida for a couple months and he couldn't shut up about it. I just wanted to yell in his face to get a life. Dang im all riled up. Anyway my team is going to get demolished this Saturday so whatevs.. Yeah for college football- the only sport that matters to me.

Back to the grind

So Im taking pdbio 482, pdbio 565, chem 105 (dont ask), chem 481m, chem 391, and chem 594r. Life is busy. Plus im working in the ochem stockroom which is quite a plesant experience so far.

Biggest fear: not having time for 391

Easiest class: duh 105

Coolest teacher: Buskirk seems pretty cool

Smallest class: 565 with 9 people

Largest class: 105.. lots of freshmen girls.. you know the great thing about freshmen girls? I keep getting older but they stay the same age. BaZing!

While im thinking about it.. I got so much stuff to do tomorrow. Friday!! Crappy huh?

PS. Im madly in love with a girl in my 481m class. She is model gorgeous but I think she might be slightly taller then me. Kill me now!

Hazwoper

FREAKIN' AWESOME. So we were sitting in class and we got a report that their had been an accident in one of the colleges chemical disposal buildings. We get there and some of the witnesses say there might have been a chemical spill or a gas leak. We look at the blueprints of the building then I suit up in my class A gear with my SCBA (self contained breathing app). I got duck taped into the suit and proceeded into the quarantined building. As soon as I entered the building I saw a bunch of dead people (students pretending). I didn't expect this. My heart immediately began to beat harder and I could hear my breathing through the mouth piece of the tank increase. They all had their makeup done downtown at this place called TaylorMade where they do Hollywood makeup. It looked pretty real. My job was to check for radiation leaks which I found (false positive so nobody was in real danger), check with a four gas for dangerous gasses, and get samples. The next crew came in to rescue the people and the last crew came in and cleaned up the acid spills. I had to get decontaminated by the decon crew as well. It was a once in a lifetime experience. In the first pic I am waving while waiting for decon. My face was all fogged up from sweat. It was so hot in the suits. I had about half an inch of sweat in each boot. Gross huh. The second pic you can tell from my face how hot it was in the suit as well. Uncomfortable but still awesome.

Day 1 HAZWOPER

40 hours in just a couple days. Freak today seemed like a long day but it will be worth it eventually. A lot of employers in the chemical business require the training so someday down the road it will be worth it. A lot of the class is stuff that I am already pretty familiar with. The class is not the most entertaining but what do you expect from a class? Anyways, the picture is not me but it will be me come Saturday afternoon when we gear up to class A: biosuits, SCBAs, and the whole works. Sweet. School starts Monday which I realized im not really ready for but then again I don't think that I have ever been ready for school to start. The freshmen, 18 years old, look like little kids to me. Im 6 years older then them. That must mean that I really am getting old. Anywho.. hopefully come Saturday I will have some sweet pics from my class.

Lab Goggles

So... for chem lab I tricked out my goggles last semester then let somebody borrow them only to never see them again. Needless to say I bought a new pair and am taking suggestions on how to make them unique. I was thinking making them like a pair of shutter shades like Kanye West sports or haveing some message written on them in a special ink that is reveiled with the power of some UV leds or something . Any ideas?

Music

Currently listening to Ben Franklin's Kite by Something Corporate. Im in one of those moods.. chill and reflective.

Summer work

Well Wednesday is my last day working for my college's book printing press. Ive seen hundreds of textbooks pass though our machines this summer. Sad. When I see them they are only worth the paper they are being printed on. As soon as they leave they go up in price by about one hundred dollars. I guess thats just the way it goes. I will be working in the fall in the organic stockroom which im thrilled about. On to bigger and better it seems. Overall it was a good job for the summer. Lots of cool people: the diva, the girl that liked me, the girl I liked but never talked to once, the girl everbody though I should hook up with, the redhead, the 18 year old, the blondie who speaks russian, the valleygirl, the mongolian, the math chick, my cousin, the dancing dude, the girl who got married, our bald boss who was cool, and his boss who had trendy hair that I secretly wish I had. If I forgot anyone then Im sorry but its late and my mind is falling asleep.
