Born to whine

I found this pic online(thanks whoever credit goes to) and never laughed so hard. Every person I know who is a ducks fan (Im thinking of one big one in particular) is a whiner. Good job BSU. Im not a huge bsu fan but I never was a fan more tonight as they killed the ducks. I cant stand the ducks. They are the one college football team I hate with a passion. There are other teams that im not a fan of but I reserver hate for Oregon. Maybe im a jerk but I posted on the Oregon fans wall on facebook "how bout them ducks" and he replied "how bout your mom". Ouch im so hurt. I then replied "my mom didn't get her A kicked by BSU then deleted the whole thing about ten minutes later. I lived with him in Florida for a couple months and he couldn't shut up about it. I just wanted to yell in his face to get a life. Dang im all riled up. Anyway my team is going to get demolished this Saturday so whatevs.. Yeah for college football- the only sport that matters to me.

Back to the grind

So Im taking pdbio 482, pdbio 565, chem 105 (dont ask), chem 481m, chem 391, and chem 594r. Life is busy. Plus im working in the ochem stockroom which is quite a plesant experience so far.

Biggest fear: not having time for 391

Easiest class: duh 105

Coolest teacher: Buskirk seems pretty cool

Smallest class: 565 with 9 people

Largest class: 105.. lots of freshmen girls.. you know the great thing about freshmen girls? I keep getting older but they stay the same age. BaZing!

While im thinking about it.. I got so much stuff to do tomorrow. Friday!! Crappy huh?

PS. Im madly in love with a girl in my 481m class. She is model gorgeous but I think she might be slightly taller then me. Kill me now!

Hazwoper

FREAKIN' AWESOME. So we were sitting in class and we got a report that their had been an accident in one of the colleges chemical disposal buildings. We get there and some of the witnesses say there might have been a chemical spill or a gas leak. We look at the blueprints of the building then I suit up in my class A gear with my SCBA (self contained breathing app). I got duck taped into the suit and proceeded into the quarantined building. As soon as I entered the building I saw a bunch of dead people (students pretending). I didn't expect this. My heart immediately began to beat harder and I could hear my breathing through the mouth piece of the tank increase. They all had their makeup done downtown at this place called TaylorMade where they do Hollywood makeup. It looked pretty real. My job was to check for radiation leaks which I found (false positive so nobody was in real danger), check with a four gas for dangerous gasses, and get samples. The next crew came in to rescue the people and the last crew came in and cleaned up the acid spills. I had to get decontaminated by the decon crew as well. It was a once in a lifetime experience. In the first pic I am waving while waiting for decon. My face was all fogged up from sweat. It was so hot in the suits. I had about half an inch of sweat in each boot. Gross huh. The second pic you can tell from my face how hot it was in the suit as well. Uncomfortable but still awesome.

Day 1 HAZWOPER

40 hours in just a couple days. Freak today seemed like a long day but it will be worth it eventually. A lot of employers in the chemical business require the training so someday down the road it will be worth it. A lot of the class is stuff that I am already pretty familiar with. The class is not the most entertaining but what do you expect from a class? Anyways, the picture is not me but it will be me come Saturday afternoon when we gear up to class A: biosuits, SCBAs, and the whole works. Sweet. School starts Monday which I realized im not really ready for but then again I don't think that I have ever been ready for school to start. The freshmen, 18 years old, look like little kids to me. Im 6 years older then them. That must mean that I really am getting old. Anywho.. hopefully come Saturday I will have some sweet pics from my class.

Lab Goggles

So... for chem lab I tricked out my goggles last semester then let somebody borrow them only to never see them again. Needless to say I bought a new pair and am taking suggestions on how to make them unique. I was thinking making them like a pair of shutter shades like Kanye West sports or haveing some message written on them in a special ink that is reveiled with the power of some UV leds or something . Any ideas?

Music

Currently listening to Ben Franklin's Kite by Something Corporate. Im in one of those moods.. chill and reflective.

Summer work

Well Wednesday is my last day working for my college's book printing press. Ive seen hundreds of textbooks pass though our machines this summer. Sad. When I see them they are only worth the paper they are being printed on. As soon as they leave they go up in price by about one hundred dollars. I guess thats just the way it goes. I will be working in the fall in the organic stockroom which im thrilled about. On to bigger and better it seems. Overall it was a good job for the summer. Lots of cool people: the diva, the girl that liked me, the girl I liked but never talked to once, the girl everbody though I should hook up with, the redhead, the 18 year old, the blondie who speaks russian, the valleygirl, the mongolian, the math chick, my cousin, the dancing dude, the girl who got married, our bald boss who was cool, and his boss who had trendy hair that I secretly wish I had. If I forgot anyone then Im sorry but its late and my mind is falling asleep.

Arcade

So dont ask me why but this summer I built myself an arcade. Now you are thinking what the... but I assure you it only adds to my overwhelming coolness. wink* Got the handyman thing going on.. ladies.. Thanks to everybody for the help. I never finished it all the way but school is starting up soon so its been put on hold. Anyways here are some pics for various times in the building. Sorry about the crappy pics but you get the idea. The coin door from a couple pics down accept quarters (just for fun). This sounds wierd but I really dont enjoy playing it as much as I enjoy watching others play it. My dad enjoys it as a jukebox while my sister and brothers like playing some old school games. Overall it took about 300ish dollars and about 3 months of messing around. What I really want to build is an outdoor kitchen. Dont ask me why but just feeling it.

MIA

Freak I haven't been on here for a while. Im sure you have all missed my good looks, whitty humor and charming personality. Its late and im tired.. so I guess you all will have to wait a little longer. Sorry. I typed in missing in action to google to get a pic and was quite thrilled.... Chuck Norris' tears can cure cancer... too bad he never cries.

So I turned 24 today. I got a pack of skittles, a Dr. Pepper, and a box of popsicles today at work. When I got home I did some painting, went to the BK Lounge, and sat in the hot tub. I can't complain. Im not big into celebrating birthdays. Also there is not really anybody to celebrate with around here (the joy of summer birthdays).

PS. The pic is from the Southpark about WoW. I never laughed so hard.

Give me all your lunch money kid

So it finally came. After being in the mail for like forever my coin door came. It lights up, opens up, locks and unlocks, accepts quarters, and rejects everything else. Best of all its going to make me rich. RICH I SAY!!! RICH!!! (No im not REALLY going to charge anybody so quite asking that stupid question people) (It was cute about 400 questions ago)

*(Actually it wasn't cute then either)

A Summer Fling?

Just wanted to make Cathrine mad. This was during FHE where everyone tangles arms and tries to untangle. Just some blackmail.

Photography

Im no pro photographer but these are two good landscape shots I took. The second is on campus right outside the library. It was in April rigth before finals. Just thinking about finals sent a shiver down my spine. The first picture was after it stopped raining on Saturday. There are actually two rainbows in the picture. The second one is at the top left of the picture. Its very faint in the picture but showed up really well in the sky. Enjoy.

LCD extraction

I pulled this LCD out of a Kodak camera. I dont quite know what I will do with it yet. I love taking things apart.

Curry Friday

So F'n good. We made Curry. I will let the picture speak for itself. We also made Pa Thai (spelling?). Anyways I had cleaning checks this week and I had to clean the stove. There was an inch of grossness caked on there. AN INCH!!!

Friday night

So there was a stake activity today which involved a bbq and a dance. It was pretty good actually. They had a dance outside and it started raining pretty good so we all danced in the rain. The woofers were pounding out the beats. Before we knew it we had a scene from step up two (no ive never seen it-noding head up and down). All these dripping wet girls started dancing all up on me and things were getting pretty heavy on the dance cout. Thankfully there was enough of me to go around. wink* So basically that was a lie but I was trying to stay true to the whole step up two story. Maybe I should get on the Step Up 3 casting call. Look at the pic!!! See what I mean. .. Whats that...? You are right.. there will never be a Step Up 3. Thank heavens. ... Anyways...Then the party moved to the hottub and pool-hollar! Finally we went to the grocery store for Thai Day 2009 tomorrow. Woot Woot. Good times.

Fall Semester

Okay.. heres what I got going on in the fall. Im taking (retaking) Chem 105-general chemistry (oh freshmen year.. ). Im taking PDBIO 565 -Mammalian Hormones. Im taking PDBIO 484 -Human Embroyology. Im taking CHEM 481M - Biochemistry for Majors. Im taking CHEM 580ish (cant remember) - Senior Lecture Whatever. Im taking CHEM 391 -Chemistry technical writting (DEATH!!). I unfortuantly couldnt get into either PHYSICS 145 or 245 or id be taking that. I have too many classes as it is but I really wanted to take the CHEM 590ish Proteins lab next semester. Oh well. The classes im looking foreward to the most are 565 and 481M and im dreading 391. Lord have mercy upon my illiterate soul ( I had to look up how to spell illiterate) (That class is going to be a doosie for me) (I barely passed freshmen English) ( I dont need English.. im never going to England). Anyways.. just got to start mentally preparing for the hurt now. :)
So the picture is a problem I actually have worked out before (physics 222 amigos). Gotta love them Muons.

Arcade update

Big plans going on. Today I bought a tv to replace the whimpy 12" one Im currently using. I also bought all the Tee Moulding for the edges-light blue. I also bought the coin door with mechanisms and a lock. Now I got to just wait for all this crap to come in the mail. Also I need power tools. Anybody have a router with a 1/16" slot cutter? Didn't think so. Anyways.. tomorrow im gonna order about 2o dollars in high output leds. I think the foreward voltage is 3.8v for anybody that is interested. Gonna add some tight lighting effects. The picture of the arcade is something like what I envision mine looking like but I got some suprises I have not yet revealed. Plus it is cool cuz I made it with some help from friends.
PS:My Tee moulding is the same light blue color as in the pic.
PPS: My screen is bigger.

Currently listening to the cd I found in my drawer last night. I didn't know I still had it but it rocks. Currently listening to Complicated by Avril Lavigne.
Aha Aha lifes like this. Aha Aha thats the way it is. You come over unannounced. Dressed up like youre someone else. ..... Cha!!!

Belts

I changed the engine belts in my car yesterday. No big deal. Took a little bit but wasn't too hard. Thankfully I was just able to loosen the tensioner pulleys with some 8mm allens and the belts slide right off. Putting them on was the exact same process.

1000

Well I have 1000 recorded views on my blog. A small milestone if you ask me. In honor of my 1000 views, I commanded the residents of the providence in Europe that I am lord of to do a traditional dance in my honor. I also command them to make on offering of a virgin to my honor. Send her up to apartment number 39. (wink*)

Heart of Gold

So Saturday I was a volunteer for the Special Olympics. I had a really good time and will be more than happy to volunteer again when it comes through the area. I checked in the athletics for the 400m and the 1500 m. Then I organized them into their divisions and lined them up in the correct order on the track starting line. Lets just say (between the two of us) basically all of these athletics would have destroyed me if I was competing against them. Holy Moly! I was red badge volunteer if that means anything to anyone. Red is bottom of the totem followed by yellow then green. All of the kids were very good sports and cheered for everybody else in each race. All of them had courage and determination. I think I learned quite a bit from them actually and actually left the Olympics feeling like a selfish jerk. Yeah.. working on that. I also felt good for gettitng out there and hopefully making at least one person feel better about themselves. Anyways.. I encourage all of you to get out there and make a difference in at least your own life, if not somebody else's life. Oh.. I forgot to mention.. their metals are the real deal. Freak'. Keep the car running i'll only be a moment. "Hey kid, can I hold your metal for a moment?" Floor it!! Next stop... pawn shop.

Castle in the sky

So I went cruzin' in my friends jeep on Thursday night. For you locals.. there is a castle type pavillion behind a mental hospial behind the water slides here. We went up there at about dusk. It was so awesome. I think we should play night games there. Speaking of night games.. I played with some people in my ward and in started off lame cuz nobody could find the one girl hiding. Maybe she was hiding out of bounds.. maybe! Anyways.. night games at the castle please.

BBQ

So I was invited over to my friends house (the Hoehns) for the holiday Monday. We slow cooked some chicken for abou 2 hours and we made some BBQ'd salsa. It was so freakin' good. Ladies don't get the wrong impression... I dont cook. (BBQs in a different thing though!!!!!) I love BBQing. Anyways .. heres a pic. (BTW the grill that we used I totally bought for the Hoehns when they got married) (Im a really nice guy) (Ladies???)

Car repairs

So I spent all of Tuesday taking apart my car dashboard. I ordered a brake light switch about a week prior. Anyways.. I spent about an hour upside down in my car with my feet on the seat headrest and my head on the brake. People probably thought that I am pretty hardcore even though im easycore. I took off the plastic part (tan), then the metal piece that holds it all together, then cut out the old brake light switch and put the new one in. The faulty switch is behind the stearing wheel so its up there a bit. Good times. So much more to go though.

8. I consider myself a handyman and Im sure I could build my own house from the foundation up if I had the time to do so.

9. In highschool I walked pass a construction zone where they were cutitng concrete and a chip cut my eye so that I was bleeding from my eye. I had to wear a patch on that eye for a while. It hurt so bad but my worse pain came from an ingrown toe nail.

10. My very first concert was a Weezer/Dashboard Confessional concert and the girl who I paid for and brought ditched me for some other guy there.. seriously.. she went about 10 rows down to sit with him. I didn't get any smarter and invited her to my senior year prom. (shaking my head)

17. I love watching VH1 reality tv dating shows, wife swap, and the history channel.

18. I almost drown as a kid in my grandparents pool but my aunt saved me.

19. As a kid I wanted to be an astronaut. I still think it would be cool but school has taken me in a different direction.

20. I dated a girl for 9.5 months when I was 21 and we probably would have gotten married if she didn't have an alcohol problem. I still think about her every day.

21. My first crush was on my second grade teacher. She was young and Puerto Rican.

22. The first video game I ever beat all the way though was Zelda: A link to the past.

25. In second grade I won a pet frog in a raffle and we left if outside in a goldfish bowl overnight. The next morning ants had killed and eaten most of it.

Yeah.. you know what im talking about.. theres enough of me to go around. (wink*) She likes me but I dont like her. However I like engaged girl at work who likes her fiancee who ... likes the girl who likes me? Interesting... Kind of like that game where you stand in a circle and everybody sits on everybody elses knees. This is just like that.. cuz it never works and its a circle. (It made sense in my head) So.. I got to figure how to let this girl down easy without hurting her feelings cuz thats not how I roll. Any suggestions? Oh the triangle...

Core Meltdown

So I was driving back from my parents house last night... They live 3 hours south of here and there is nothing and I repeat NOTHING between here and there...so anyways.. Im driving and my dash indicates the car is hot. Im like 50 miles from a gas station let alone human life. So Im looking out the window and I see freakin' tumbleweeds, scorpions, and coyotes. I look up through the sun roof and see about 4 buzzards circling my car. Due to the fact that the cars computer is expensive, my car begins to power down to protect the engine from serious overheating damage. Thats good I suppose. So I pull off the side of the road and look at my brother Nathan in the passanger seat. He is skinner than me so of course he will die first. I will have to find a stick and use it to create a shallow grave and pray that the coyotes dont dig him up once Im gone. I wonder if anybody will ever find us out here. Instantly my mind is refered to the thousands of hours I spend watching Bear Grills surviving in some harsh places. I instantly start looking for elephant poop that I can drink the water from (African Desert episode) only to find none. I tell my brother to gather brush to start a fire while I put myself incharge of creating a shelter that will last the night, and perhaps, years. I prepared for the worse. I used a rock to sharpen several sticks to defend ourselves.

Well its been 3 months out here... We have since domesticated a few deer and have cultivated the ground to yield its fruits... actually all I did was call AAA and get a lift to provo and had my car towed and repaired.

Thief in the night

So I went home for mothers day. We had a really nice dinner. I ate 2 pieces of chicken cordon bleu and a piece of steak. It was so good. So both of my parents work so they usually dont cook like that meaning the freezer is full of microwavable goods. Needless to say I stole about 50 dollars in frozen foods from them. Dont tell them or ill kick your butt. (serious). I stole about 20 dollars in egg rolls which I got caught in the process by my dad. He made me put them back. I restole them later. I anticipate a phone call when he finally realizes they are gone upon which I shall deny everything and be forced to eat the evidence.

Fall Semester

So I have been going through my schedule and trying to plan it out. Im kinda dissapointed a little bit because a class I really wanted to take I cant take. They only offer one section for each one of my classes due to the lack of demand for more classes. This means the class is only offered at one time and if it interfers with the same time of the other class then too bad. Physiology classes and Chemistry classes are all offered at the same freaking time. I really wanted to take Physiological Drug Mechanisms but its offered at the same time as Biochemistry for majors. Stink. So instead im taking endocrinology. Im also interested in Endocrinology but I thought Id like the other class better. Also Ive rainchecked the Physics 240 class about 20 times. The class has 14 seats and needless to say.. im not one of them. Anyways.. kinda upset.

Boring

So my roommate and I are watching tv and im being a stinker. He is flipping between House, Futurama, Star Trek the Next Generation, Real World, I love Money, and Deep Impact. I have scene all of them. Whenever he flips to it I tell him what is going to happen next. It gets him annoyed but I want the remote and he wont give it to me. That will teach him a lesson. BTW.. today at work we had a potluck and since everybody there is married there was all kinds of crazy good food. I was so happy. So lets make this a daily event right? I brought two bottles of soda. I pigged out. "Who's mommies little piggie?" ... "I am, I am. "

Pretty good night

So it was a quite night at home tonight.. I went to Smiths and picked up a frozen pizza (buffalo chicken) and a 2 liter of coke (on sale for 79 cents ( i freakin' love coke)) and turned on the tv. Flipping through the channels nothing but reruns was on until... until I hit channel 53 (MTV) and saw True Life was on. Normally I dont watch the show but it was on baldness. Now its got my attention. Two guys with male pattern baldness and a girl with a sever case of alopecia. Poor girl. Anyways they were getting hair resturation. It was quite fascinating. One of the guys was talking about his hair line and how it had been receding since he was about 18 or 19 years old. It had moved up his scalp about 3 inches leaving a very profound widows peak. Receding hair line! 18 or 19! 3 inches!! Oh F...... (running to the bathroom and lifting up my hair to reveal my true hair line). Oh no. ...........Genetics.. no good. So any ladies looking for that mature (balding) look in a guy.. come on .. its like the Billy Zane look... still no? sigh*

Currently watching a documentary on the Zulu on History channel. Quite Interesting.
